Newbie. What does “bring the usual” mean???

The usual mostly entails clean everything (shoes, socks, shirts, shorts) for the end since you might get wet/muddy plus a bag in which to store said clean stuff. A headlamp or flashlight may come in handy; insect repellant and sunscreen and lots of water for trail! Most of us carry plastic shopping bags to put our hash clothes and shoes in after.
