Pisstacide is on vacation so we are deferring to Shoot the Hooch for your weekend Hashing Adventure. Enjoy! The weather should be fantastic( not 100 degrees) This group of misfits will show you a good time. Just make sure you have your PFD!!
2025 Shoot the Hooch H3: Your non-denominational hash!
The Skinny:
When: Sunday, August 3rd, 2025—meet up at 10:30am, on the river at 11:30am
Put IN/Start: Chattahoochee NRA--Powers Island Unit

Who: Gentrifuckation and a cast of millions, including you
How much: $15 cash money for river beer and good food at the end!
($15??? yes. Inflation sucks, sorry!)
What to expect: chaos and regret AND a 2.5 hour float with some jumping at the jumping rock, a little lounging on a beach, and time for food and shenanigans at the end.
What to bring: hash cash, credit card to pay parking, water, a float, sunscreen, Personal Flotation Device ("PFD," e.g. life vest, required by park rangers), big ass hat, and a thirst for cold beer and playing in the water.
Pulling Out/End: Always too late, but here you go! Get it right for once!

August 3rd! Sunday is a hashing day!
Get yourself a flotation device plus a PFD, and get yourself to Cochran Shoals by 10:30ish. On the river by 11:30!
We'll have devices to blow up your float and to float the beer down the river with us. If you have a floating cooler, please bring it. (and let Gentry know pls)

Walmart had as of July 15th floats for sale. Amazon also has them 2-day delivery. Cost depends on how fancy you want to get. But less than $20 should easily do it.

We will provide a shuttle from the end to start but will expect some folks to help pitch in. If you get to the start early, we may take cars to the end to shuttle back. Uber is actually an option
It's a group effort, so always takes a bit longer. Bring your patience please!
You'll need a park pass or to pay for parking. I think it's online only. Carpooling recommended.
Notice: you can come without a PFD but if you get dragged off of the river by Canadian Mounties, you're probably being kidnapped.
If you get dragged off the river by the Park rangers, that will be on you. The hash will float on. Sorry but not completely sorry?! Right? Right!!!
