OK, OK, this is kind of short notice, but I thought I should pop this up on this here website that, as has become tradition, a few of us intrepid hashers are once again doing the Columbus Red Nose Half Marathon. There are a couple of great things about this half marathon:
  1. It's free! You just sign up, and run, and you get a pretty medal.
  2. It's not a marathon!
  3. It's flat as a pancake apart from a teeny bit at the end. Aid stations just like a race that you DID pay for, except you didn't.
  4. You get to run in sunny Columbus, GA. As is nearly always the case, it's going be sunny, and freezing. Red Nose half marathon, see?
  5. Generally we party responsibly the night before, or the night after, or - OK, invariably - both. (The race starts at 8AM, so you probably don't want to do the 2-ish hour drive the morning of the race.)
  6. You can sign up pretty late. Registration ends January 2, 2025 at 5:00pm EST.
OK, that was six things, not a couple.

If you're interested, well - first of all you should sign up. It's free, and you do it here: https://runsignup.com/Race/GA/Columbus/ ... lfMarathon

Second of all, you should let us know you're coming: we'll probably do an air-b-n-b or one of those crazy hotels that Lawn Cut always seems to find. Either pop your name onto this thread to let us know you're signed up, or drop me an email at drewbuoy(αt)duck.com
