Pinelake turns GREEN. Pinelake #1751 in the green wilds of Decatur!

Post by Too Limp Clover »

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, it's that time of the week again. But also that time of the YEAR again ... St Paddy's Weekend!

The theme for Pinelake this Saturday, naturally, is Green. If you want to wear your Green Dress, please do! If you know where mine is, please tell me. Green sweaters are acceptable. Shamrocks are encouraged, or even CLOVERS. You can wear whatever beads you want as long as they are green.

The weather this weekend is suitably Irish, but it looks like Patrick will be parting the clouds for us, briefly, at just the right time for trail. So, break out your green, and bring a change of more green for end-of-trail.

I hear rumors there will be a whiskey shot stop.

Where: Decatur, because there are Irish bars. That we might be able to squeeze into. But not out of.

Where exactly: Gather at the Marlay House, 426 W Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030

If parking is full, generally it seems to be OK to park at the post office next door.

When: Saturday March 15th. Gather at 1:30PM (or earlier, if you want), hare away at 2:00PM. Yes, trail will be live, given the weather 'n all.

What to expect: A splishy splashy trail, with twists and turns, a beer stop or two, some on-roading and some off-roading.

What to bring: Yourself! Depending on the weather, and our urges, we may or may not be able to do circle outside. If we can/do, bring a chair and BYOB-supplies just in case. Plan B (or maybe A, depending) would be to decamp into the Marlay. And, bring a change of clothes, for the weather, and Guinness spillage.

How much: Trail is $free! But you probably want to plan for a Guinness or a Shepherd's Pie or something if you're into that kind of thing.

See you all there!
